How it works
Your Nym has a phone number. You text it the way you’d text a friend who’s good at this stuff, or you call it and talk it through.
It replies when there’s something to say: a question, a shortlist or a total to approve. You don’t have to open an app unless you want to.
What people text it
“Cancel my gym before the next charge.” “My DoorDash order was missing the fries.” “Find my sister a housewarming gift under $60.” “Order the usual groceries for Thursday.”
Each one is a job you’d otherwise put off, and each one gets done while you get on with your day.
A real one
“My sister has just moved into her first flat and loves cooking. Can you look for a housewarming gift under $60? Something useful for a small kitchen, no gadgets that need plugging in. Give me two or three options with links; I’ll choose before we buy anything.”

It checks before it buys
When a job ends in a purchase, you get the item and the total first. Nothing is bought until you say yes. Buying is on Plus and Pro.
It texts you first, too
Ask for a Sunday check-in and you get a text at 6pm with a few questions about your week. If something needs you, like a reply only you can give, it texts you rather than waiting for you to look.
What it can’t do yet
It can’t place phone calls for you. When a job needs a call, it gives you the number, the best time and what to say.
What it costs
Texting and calling your Nym come with every plan, Free included. Plus is $20 a month and adds buying for you and scheduled check-ins.
Questions
Do I need to download an app?
No. Once your phone number is registered, you can do everything by text. The app is there if you’d rather chat or see your personal apps.
Can I call it?
Yes. Call your Nym and talk it through. For a job that takes longer than a call, it texts you when it’s done.
Will it text me without being asked?
Only for the things you set up, like a weekly check-in, or when a job needs your answer.
What if I have more than one Nym?
You pick which Nym answers your texts. You can switch whenever you like.
Is it a real person?
No. A Nym is software. It works for you and checks with you before anything that costs money or changes an account.
How do I get one?
Nym is in early access. Request access and we’ll email you when it’s your turn.
