How connecting works
You connect an account once. You’ll find it under Connected accounts in the Nym app.
Some accounts you sign in to on the service’s own page, so your password stays with you. Others take a login you save once. Either way you don’t sign in again, and from then on you just ask.
You approve what matters
Purchases wait for your yes. So do changes in your connected accounts. You see the order total or the email before anything goes out.
Disconnect any time
Remove an account under Connected accounts and it stops being used straight away. Your apps and your Nym’s own email keep working.
Questions
Does my Nym see my passwords?
Not for accounts that use the service’s own sign-in. For the rest, you save a login once and your Nym signs in for you in its own browser. It doesn’t show the login in chat.
Can it order groceries from Instacart?
Yes. It fills your cart from your list or rebuilds a past order. You see the total before anything is placed, and it orders when you approve.
Can it read my bank account?
If you connect it, your Nym can see your spending and what you pay each month. That’s how it finds the subscriptions you forgot about.
Can it use my calendar?
Yes, with Google Calendar or Outlook connected. It plans around what’s already in your week and can add events for you.
What if the account I use isn’t listed?
Your Nym can still work on most websites in its own browser. More accounts get added over time.
Do I have to connect anything?
No. A Nym works without connected accounts. Connecting them just means it can do more without asking you to copy things across.
